It all started with a sculpture class in 1971 at St. Mary’s Dominican College in New Orleans. Angela Gregory was my teacher, her teacher Antoine Bourdelle, and his teacher Auguste Rodin. From a love of portraiture nurtured in college and beyond, I embraced sacred imagery following a trip to Italy in 1996. Since that year, I have completed numerous commissions both public and private, including Mysteries of the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, Marian devotionals, a triptych “Canticle of the Sun,” at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, reliefs of the Incarnation and Resurrection at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Phoenix, and most recently a Communion of Saints wall at the Solanus Casey Center in Detroit. I continue, with the help of my husband Barry, to accept commissions at my Baton Rouge studio.
